Community Outreach

Montgomery Community Television provides television production, programming and training, but we're more than the sum of those parts! As a nonprofit organization, our goals are service-oriented. We continually assess the needs of our community and become involved in meeting those needs.

MCT reaches out to individuals and organizations to help them take advantage of a communications tool that is right in their own backyards. Contact MCT's Community Projectc Managers at (301)424-1730 to find out more about these opportunities:

  • Attend Nonprofit TV Day - MCT invites representatives of local nonprofits to attend a one-day seminar, where reporters, producers and public relations professionals share their expertise and conduct skill-building exercises to help organizations access television and other media more effectively. As a follow-up to Nonprofit TV Day, participants produce a free public service announcement that airs on our community channels.

Be a guest on Studio 501(c)(3), a show that was created specifically for nonprofits. This half-hour talk show gives organizations the opportunity to extend their outreach to a wider constituency - 250,000 Montgomery County cable subscribers. Studio 501(c)(3) appears on Access Montgomery (cable 21) Mondays at 5 p.m., Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m., Thursdays at 11 a.m., Saturdays at 12 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.

Have a program produced by one of our trained volunteers. Contact the Client Services Department at info@mct-tv.org call (301)424-1730. To get the most from this service you should plan three months in advance.
